Nach dem Frühstück habe ich meine Ausrüstung fürs Tauchen bekommen und den Taucheranzug (ich versuche es erstmal mit einem „Shorty“, also kurze Arme und Beine) auch gleich mal anprobiert. Passt. Also den Rest zusammengepackt und so gegen 10 Uhr ging es dann mit einem weiteren Taucher und dem Guide per PKW runter zum Strand. Auf dem Programm heute zwei Tauchgänge, der erste am Wrack der „Cedar Pride“. Das Frachtschiff, das bei einem Brand schwer beschädigt wurde, wurde 1985 auf Geheiß von König Abdullah II. als Attraktion für Taucher im Golf von Aqaba versenken. Nach einer halben Stunde Pause am Strand ging es dann gleich weiter zum zweiten Tauchgang am „Rainbow Reef“, das von der gleichen Stelle des Strandes aus betauchbar ist. Da ich keine Unterwasserkamera habe, hier nur ein Foto der Beschreibung der Tauchplätze.
Am Abend bin ich dann noch mit zwei weiteren Gästen des Hotels zum Bummeln und Abendessen nach Aqaba City gefahren.

After breakfast, I got my equipment for diving and directly tried if the diving suit (I firstly will try to dive with a “Shorty”, so short arms and legs) fits. Afterwards I packed up the rest and around 10 o’clock another diver, the guide and I went down to the beach by car. On the program for today were two dives, the first at the wreck of the „Cedar Pride“. The cargo ship, which was heavily damaged in a fire, was sunk in 1985 at the behest of King Abdullah II as an attraction for divers in the Gulf of Aqaba. After a half hour break at the beach we went straight to the second dive at the „Rainbow Reef“, which can be visited from the same place on the beach. Since I have no underwater camera, here just a photo of the description of the dive sites.
In the evening I went with two other guests of the hotel for the strolling and dinner to Aqaba City.
